"Answer my pleas
'Why now?'
I begged to differ but alas nothing
Nothing to change their minds
Pulling me away; I struggle to stay put
This sad battle was lost
Staring behind me now as the things I held dear were gone
Torn apart of myself but yet--
I wasn't able to cry
Tears seemingly pour down my cheeks
Although I was not paying any attention
As more thoughts streamed through my mind
'Why now?'
I begged to differ but alas nothing
Nothing to change their minds
I suddenly fall, fall into an abyss
Waking to only find out that it was
Another realm I was soon to be in
Shifting to face in a different direction
What was to become of these occurrences?
Heart pounding against my chest
Eerie noises echoing in my ears
Sudden trails formed ahead
Taking whichever one I wanted figuring that was best
Making my way down, a huge overcasting shadow above
Shuddering, I continue braving on what else lied ahead
'Why now?'
I begged to differ but alas nothing
Nothing to change their minds
I walked into a huge room
Black and white tiles; some there and some gone
Stepping on them lightly now to feel safe
A monster bursts out from underneath my feet
Skyrocketing into the air; a calling of sorts I hear
Before I headed back down, I was taken into a birds grasp
I flail as a natural reaction to such dangers
Glancing up to barely see the mighty falcon
I plea to be put down but to only be thrown
Shrieking as I go but this avian catches me
I sit upon his back, relieved I hadn't plummeted
He speaks to me with such grace, I am nearly stunned
Responding to what he asked
Once the ride was over, he began to head downwards
Pouting as this wonderful exhibition was soon to end
He turns his head to face me, a twinkle in his golden eye
Smiling reassuringly by this time
'Why now?'
I begged to differ but alas nothing
Nothing to change their minds
A gust of wind was all I could feel
One last shrill of the falcon echoed before he was gone from my view
I waved in a sad manner but remembering everything
Everything that he told me made me smile
Stomach grumbles from lack of food intake
I scavenged the area around me
Off in the distance seemed to be a little town
Heading there with a bit of a quick pace
The skies above looking rather muggy but no rain
Once reaching said town, my eyes open wider
Focused on finding some place to grab food
With little to no luck I slump against a post
Whispers could be faintly heard, nothing more
It appears to be that I was an outcast
The path ahead was slowly turning dark
Was this going to be another change?
I tried to make a run for it but it was too late
'Why now?'
I begged to differ but alas nothing
Nothing to change their minds
Screaming and free falling I go yet again
Shuffling whilst I was in deep slumber
Groaning once I landed, face down
Struggling to stand as I felt so weak with hunger
This scenery was completely different
It was of a rain forest
Many noises danced across the trees
Animals of all sorts were prancing and minding their business
Dusting myself now I headed in a direction
Hoping to some kind of food to be found
And if not-- I was to go on a hunting spree
My inner instincts began to grow within
Fangs protruding out of my mouth
Gasping at this but enjoying this factor
I crouched low hiding in the bushes
Sensing prey nearby in the brush a few feet ahead
Licking my canines I lounged forward, bracing for my impact
The beast jerked its head up now scared but it was too late
I had tackled it down onto the ground-- biting at its neck
Ripping a good portion of such out, blood pouring
I assassinated the beast without mercy
Savoring its blood, my form covered quite a lot
Grinning wickedly as I finish my prey
Leaving some fresh meat for whatever was to find it lying there
Standing upright and feeling full
I prance away as I emitted a sinister cackle
'Why now?'
I begged to differ but alas nothing
Nothing to change their minds
A part of my body was being touched
I jerked my head to see
To see a small creature attached to my leg
My eyes narrowed with haste
Feeling the need to shake them off
The creature having such a desolate expression
It made me freeze for a good while
I suddenly pass out
Unaware that I was meant to be taken out
I faintly heard what I thought was its native tongue
More of them coming to aid the first one
Falling to their grasp now
What seemed hours, I woke up dazed
Groaning then wondered why I was tied
Recalling what had happened before I sighed in defeat
'Why now?'
I begged to differ but alas nothing
Nothing to change their minds
A soft melody rang in my head
It sounding as though it was needing me
I shut my eyes, wanting to feel at ease
As I suddenly opened my eyes
To only find out I was simply in the same place
The place of what I call a safe haven"
Why now?
